In other Gracie news--the crawl has been perfected to a scary state. I need to try and figue out getting some videos on here, but for now my descriptions will have to suffice. Grace's crawl looks a lot like a lizard from the back. She swivels and, due to the diaper, her legs are more out to the side. Not unlike a lizard, she is also extremely fast!! The funniest, (and scariest when she is headed for the stairs) is when she puts her head down, like a swimmer, and goes into hyper speed. She is still soo close to walking, but with her proficiency at crawling she doesn't quite feel the pressure to risk too much on the walking yet--she is content to move around objects and walk holding someone's hands. But that is just fine with me. The only downer to her crawling is the wear and tear it puts on her pants, but alas kids will be kids, right?
Grace is a joy. Truly a bright, engaging, brilliant, musical kid. She loves to dance to music and says, "hi baby" all the time now (She got that from talking to her dad and now likes to say it to everyone else as well). And despite the fact that I am absolutely NOT a morning person, perhaps the best part of my day is when Gracie wakes up (for the last and real time, right? ;) and crawls over to me in our bed and hugs and kisses me and says, "Ma ma ma." She makes me think of a lyric from a favorite Weepies tune: "you turn me into somebody loved"
Grace loves to turn this toy on by hitting its nose...and then she dances and dances to the music. It also doubles as a chew toy...brilliant. (thank you Chia family)
Gracie helping Grandpa Bob with the bills
Yum... baby Prunes (a much needed part of Grace's diet)
Gracie takes a ride in the wheelbarrow in Grandma's backyard with Alex and Johnny
I love this face--looks just like her dad, I swear!
We attempted to do a photo shoot outside but it proved a bit tricky.
Grace wanted to eat all the old dry leaves and laughed and laughed whenever I told her they were "yuck" (just the response I wanted, right?)
Our little sweetheart
